These 70 durometer squeegees are the most versatile and cost-effective we've found! They're great for printing plastisol and water-based inks. The sharp-cut polyurethane blade is glued into the rounded wooden handle to ensure easy clean up and maintenance.
It's best to choose your squeegee based on the print you will be doing. As a rule of thumb, we like to use a squeegee 1-2 inches wider than the design we're printing. That way we're not doing more work than we need to, and it's easier to manage the ink. For example, a 5-inch squeegee is perfectly suited for a left-chest logo, while a full size print may need a 13-inch squeegee or wider.
We recommend the 11-inch squeegee for use with Yudu screens. You will find that these squeegees are a vast improvement over the original or "professional" Yudu squeegees.
The squeegee rubber's hardness is rated in durometer, and ranges from 50-95. A 50 durometer squeegee will flex and bend far easier than a 90 durometer, which affects how much work you have to do to get ink through the screen. The 70 durometer blade is easily the most popular for use in apparel printing, and is widely considered an all purpose choice.
The cut edge of our squeegee makes it sharper than one with a molded edge. It captures more detail, but leaves a slightly thinner ink deposit.
