This ink is a very transparent ink, and works best when printed on white fabric or over a white underbase. Radioactive is not a low bleed ink. Recommended for 100% cotton, and some cotton/polyester blends. Always test print fabric before beginning a production run. Dye migration and bleed issues can appear up to 48 hours after printing.
Do not overcure the ink (over 330°F/160°C), as high temperatures can cause the phosphorescent pigment used in the ink to be damaged, and not glow properly.
|Recommended Fabrics||100% cotton and some cotton/poly blend white fabrics. For best results on dark fabrics, Radioactive must be printed over a white base or Puff.|
|Ink Application||Radioactive Glow-in-the-Dark ink should be used right from the container without any modifications. If thinning is required, use 1% to 5% by volume of 1110 Curable Reducer. Adding too much reducer or other additives will diminish opacity and glow.|
|Screen Mesh and Emulsion||60-230 Mesh screen and any plastisol-compatible emulsion.|
|Cure Temperature||The entire print should reach 325ºF. Test dryer temperatures before a production run. Wash test printed product before beginning production run.|
|Clean Up||Merchmakr Wipe Out! Press Wash will clean the ink out of the screen for color changes or library storage. When taking out the screens entirely, ink degradent is recommended to break down the ink into a drain-safe form.|
|Storage||Keep containers out of extreme heat or cold. Recommended storage at 65-90ºF. Avoid storage in direct sunlight and moist, humid air.|
